Christopher Hinton’s frantic, perspective-shifting animation style is perhaps best exemplified by this fast-paced look at family life from birth to death. Through the fluid, ever-evolving changes rendered by black ink on a white background, the joys, crises and random accidents of day-to-day life are depicted in a shattering blur.

A rush of absurdity and intelligence characterized by deft, dark humour, Flux won numerous international awards, including the FIPRESCI Prize at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, the Best Narrative Short Film award at the Ottawa International Animation Festival and the Special Jury Award at the Zagreb World Festival of Animated Films.
