This absurdist, fictional biography of real-life pop artist Marcel Dzama represents director deco dawson’s attempt to rekindle the long-lost form of surrealist cinema made popular in the twenties by Salvador Dali, Luis Buñuel and Man Ray. The visually elliptical, black-and-white experimental film was named Best Canadian Short Film at the Toronto International Film Festival® in 2001.
