This acclaimed short – a moving and poetic response to the events of September 11, 2001 – features a distraught singer who prepares for his stage performance and overcomes his grief by singing Irving Berlin’s Blue Skies. In addition to receiving a Genie nomination for Best Live Action Short Drama, the film won the award for Best Canadian Short Film at the 2002 Toronto International Film Festival® and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Montreal World Film Festival.
