Chris Abraham studied theatre at the University of Toronto and directing at the National Theatre School in Montreal. In addition to apprenticing with the Canadian Stage Company, Theatre Passe Muraille and The National Arts Centre, he serves as Company Dramaturge for Toronto’s Theatre Passe Muraille and is a member for the Factory Theatre director’s unit.
As the artistic director of Toronto’s Go Chicken Go theatre company, his directing credits have included The Glass Menagerie, As You Like It and Easy Lenny Lazmon and the Great Western Ascension. In 1999, he received the Ken MacDougall and John Hirsch awards for emerging directors. His feature film directing debut, I, Claudia, was named one of Canada's Top Ten of 2004 by an independent, national panel of filmmakers, programmers, journalists and industry professionals.
