Around Is Around, an early experimentation in 3-D animation by Norman McLaren and Evelyn Lambart, is one of two films commissioned by the British Film Institute for the Festival of Britain in 1951 (the other is Now Is the Time). The film photographs moving oscilloscope patterns, which are given stereoscopic form through the control of different left-eye and right-eye image positions. It received a Special Award at the Canadian Film Awards in 1952.
