In this sweet animated comedy about two golden-agers, George Edgecombe harbours a secret crush for Rosemary Harris, the lady who lives across the street. He discreetly keeps track of her comings and goings, indulges in lavish romantic fantasies about their relationship, and maintains ardent vigils from his front porch. When he finally musters up the courage to approach her, George discovers Rosemary has felt the same way all along.

George and Rosemary is a delightful piece of animation from Alison Snowden and David Fine, the couple who went on to make the Academy Award®-winning Bob’s Birthday (1995) and the animated television series "Bob and Margaret." This short romantic comedy hits the perfect whimsical note and shows, in a wry, subtle and charming manner, that passion is not exclusively for the young.
