In this beautiful, innovative animated film, thousands of beads are painstakingly arranged and manipulated into shapes of creatures, both mythical and real, that continually devour, absorb and merge with one another in explosions of colour. The theme is one of aggression and inevitability, but conclusions are left up to the viewer. The film received an Academy Award® nomination for Best Animated Short.
